Schlitters
(2000)Several years ago, Jaap Stuurman built a model of Schlitters station on the Austrian Zillertalbahn. The layout was built to H0e standard (1:87 scale and 9mm gauge), using three modules. In this form Schlitters was exhibited several times. Today only the station module remains: this has been donated to the Valkenburg narrow gauge museum. Schlitters was a good example of the use of commercial kits, adapted in various ways, which together with an Alpine backscene resulted in a detailed and surprisingly spacious scene typical for the area modelled.
